Are You Hungry For More God?

So many songs I hear these days are all filled with a longing for God. You know what I mean? It makes me wonder, what do people actually mean when they say they “long for more of God?”

And where I’m coming from is the belief that God is with us. He’s all in. He’s not partly in. And even better, Paul said that Christ is within us. So, theologically, it sure sounds like we have all the God we could ever need.

A recent daily email devotional opened with this: "We cannot attain the presence of God because we’re already totally in the presence of God. What’s absent is awareness."

So much of people's frustration comes from feeling they have to earn or achieve God's presence, instead of truly knowing grace. There's no such thing as "being far away from God."

Don't let anyone fool you into thinking there is.
