When Chaos Is All Around

It doesn’t take long when you’re spending time watching the news or your social media feed to feel like chaos is swirling all around, overpowering any amount of hope you’ve had for the world, doesn’t it?

This is when it’s important to remember what you’re basing your hope on in the first place. It wasn’t that everything in life would happen as you want it, that the world would be chaos free, and everyone would get along.

Even though those are good things to work toward, our hope has to transcend circumstances, or else we’re going to continually be blown by the wind, feeling hopeful and then not.

Our hope has to be rooted in the unchanging, ever-loving God. Remember Hebrews 6:19, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

This relationship is where the greatest hope is found and will hold us through any amount of chaos.
