How often do you sin? Once a day? Twice? Twenty? I wonder if we, as Christians, fall too easily into the trap of believing that our “success” at being a Christian is directly proportional to how often we do or do not sin.
This is interesting to me because most of us came to be Christians when we finally made the realization that we were too weak to control our sinful natures and only through the great hope of God's grace could our sinful natures be purified.
I believe many Christians lose out on the fantastic power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, because instead of seeking that relationship, letting Him be the one to remove the desire to sin, we spend our time trying to figure out how to stop sinning.
Not to say we can’t make better choices, but hope says all the work was done on the cross and God wants you just as you are.
Remember, choose hope today.
