Is Trust At the Core of Your Hope?
March 26, 2024
Hope can be broken down into a few elements. First of all, hope has to be rooted in faith and trust in God. Second, hope has to fueled by love—how much you are loved, and then how you love others. Third, hope is guided by vision for how things can be.
When I drift into feeling hopeless, or that God is finished doing good in my life, I have to do a check-up on these three areas. Most times, it’s because I’m doubting that God is really up to something. Especially when everything is quiet, it’s hard to believe that God is working.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Simple trust in a God who has an unbelievable amount of love for me is enough to get me back on track.
Remember, choose hope today.
