Can you sift through the rubble and find the gold?
Have you ever heard someone say, “the older I get, I realize more of what I don’t know?” I get that. Because for me, it seems like the more I study and read and pray, the less it seems I know.
It’s as if the message of God’s truth gets winnowed down, like sifting a pan full of sand and rocks, looking for gold.
For me, the gold is knowing that God is love, and that it’s directed towards me from the outside, as well as from the inside, and truly there’s nothing more that I need.
The gold of the gospel makes me less distracted by all the extraneous rubble that can creep in, making me think I have to do more or be more, in order to claim my identity as the beloved.
God’s got you and me in his hands, and he’s never going to let you go.
Remember, choose hope today.
I love this one. ❤️
