Patience While You Wait
April 4, 2024
Hope is an optimistic looking forward into the day, into the week, into your life, knowing God is in the middle of it all, bringing about good for those who love him.
So, how can we learn to be patient while we’re waiting on God?
First of all, trust that God is with you right now in your waiting. He’s not out there in the future, distant and removed from all you’re going through right now.
Second, ask God for patience. And notice when impatience creeps in. Taking a breath, and letting it out, before reacting to it. Over time, your automatic reaction to impatience will lessen.
As you wait for the job you need, as you're waiting to be healed of your sickness, as you're waiting for that relationship to be restored, keep your eyes on God the fixer and restorer.
That's truly living hope, even in the midst of the most difficult circumstances.
Remember, choose hope today.
