When Your Prayers Don't Get Answered

I heard a great Christian song that was super catchy, but also had a powerful chorus which says, “When You don’t move the mountains I’m needing You to move. When You don’t part the waters I wish I could walk through. When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You. I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You!” (Hear this tune from Lauren Daigle here on YouTube)

I believe that we want to be people that trust. People marked by faith. People marked by the belief that God is in control - that God is doing what’s best, and giving us what we need, instead of simply what we might want.

To live hope is to trust, to acknowledge that we don’t see the whole picture from our vantage point. We accept that God is good and full of love for us, and that he is continually acting on our behalf, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
